How are your problem solving skills. There are times in life when we can't easily solve the problem ourselves. 1. A problem (vs 1)The city of Jericho was tightly shut up and no one went out and no one came in. There was a physical wall around the city. There was no way for the Israelites to bring the walls down - on their own. They thought it was impossible to get the walls down and therefore improbable that they could win the war. "We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them" - Albert Einstein 2. A promise (vs 2)God has already solved the problem. Joshua's faith is being tested. God promises to deliver Jericho into their hands. 3. A presence (vs 3-5)It seems ridiculous to walk around the walls of the city and shout. It seems too easy. The ARk showed God's presence in the midst of the people. It is God who makes the difference.
