Ken and Olive have raised a family of 4, two boys and two girls, and are now enjoying their first 2 grandchildren.

Ken is a mechanical engineer and materials scientist. After 13 years in industry and 12 as a college lecturer he started his own consultancy practice 16 years ago giving advice and training to industry on materials, manufacturing methods and quality management. He also acts as an expert witness in litigation. Olive originally practiced as a nurse but for the last 12 years has been a partner and administrator in their business.

Ken became a Christian when he was 20, almost 40 years ago, and Olive when she was 7, almost ? years ago. They lived in S Ireland for 12 years after they were married and returned to N Ireland 20 years ago, where they became involved in youth work and outreach, mainly in North and West Belfast. They have been members of Great Victoria Street Baptist Church in Belfast for the past 12 years, the church where they were married 35 years ago.

They both enjoy playing indoor and outdoor bowls, and watching snooker on TV, and spend their summer holidays on the West coast of France.
